By Gregory Bayne – As some of you know, I recently completed a successful funding campaign using Kickstarter.com to raise the initial capital needed to get my new film, Jens Pulver | Driven, an intimate documentary about legendary UFC Champion Jens Pulver, off the ground.

The end result of the campaign was $27,210 pledged, my goal was $25,000, via 410 contributors, in 20 short days.

DIY DAYS NYC video: A dinner gathering

Submitted by admin on Monday, 17 November 20083 Comments

For DIY DAYS NYC we ended up doing a different format then the other events in LA, SF and Boston. The NYC event was a casual dinner gathering and an open discussion. The evening was made possible thanks to Storybids and indieGoGo. It was an evening of good food and conversation. Dinner guests included Ted Hope, Faye Dunaway, Lance Hammer, Susan Buice, Paul Rachman, Lance Weiler, Arin Crumley, Joseph Morin, Slava Rubin, Steven Raphael, and Jennifer Kushell.

The following is the dinner broken into three parts.

This is great, I like this new format, but it has some issues regarding letting all participants have a chance. I really wish the dude from Boston didn’t talk quite so much.

It’s interesting how the old-school, older white male establishment dudes are the loudest and talked the longest, and all the young folks with the most interesting ideas were quieter, politer, and hence we didn’t hear as much from them. a little sad, a little ironic, no?

LOL! Yeah, those Young Folks never should have invited those Geezers! :D
