TCIBR: podcast – KICKSTARTER

Submitted by admin on Thursday, 8 October 20092 Comments

In this edition of TCIBR we sit down with Kickstarter co-founder Yancey Strickler. Kickstarter is a site that enables people with creative projects to connect with those who are interested in donating funds to make them happen. From software projects like Arin Crumley’s OpenIndie to Mike Ambs’ For Thousand Miles, Kickstarter has an interesting mix of projects in search of patrons. Within a short period of time Kickstarter has generated quite a bit of buzz while also assisting a variety of projects to reach their funding goals.

Really awesome interview – I’m a pretty big fan of the team at Kickstarter. They are building a very special site.

A wonderful interview — and I continually hear about Kickstarter in all sorts of various circles now… from the New York Times article to someone I just met at a sandwich shop last week who successfully funded his project. Many thanks Lance and Yancey for shedding light on what I consider to be a great website.
